• Many airlines have pet embargoes during the summer months
• The airlines will not interline your pet
• The airlines will NOT accept a sedated pet
• You cannot put 2 pets in one cage unless they are under 6 months of age
• You must take your pet to the vet for a health check-up before shipping
• The airline documentation requirements and country documentation requirements are not always the same
• An airline freight agent may not provide the correct information about required documentation on international shipments
• Airlines hire professional pet handlers to remove all pets in transit
